Spelling Word Practice Ideas

1.   Write your spelling words in alphabetical order.

2.  Write 8 sentences using your spelling words.

3.   Sort your spelling words into categories based on the similarities you can find between them

4.  Break your spelling word up into syllables.

5.  Spell your words out loud while you jump rope.

6.  Bounce a ball and spell your words to the rhythm.

7.  Write each spelling word using a different color.

8.       Use a whiteboard or chalkboard to write your words.

9.       Write your words then outline the shape of each word.

10.   Write each word in cursive.

11.   Read your spelling words out loud in as many different  silly voices as you can think of.
